This family came to us to transform their existing basement space into a more functional space that meets the needs of their growing family. 

We created a modern living room space that allows for added hidden storage of the childrens toys, or other living room items. Beyond the living room space, that provides a relaxed space for the adults, the open area was the perfect place for a kid play zone! We couldn't leave this space untouched though, the decorative accent wall ties into the modern and sleek touches throughout the entire basement. Leaving it open for transition throughout the years as the children grow. 

On the opposite side of the living room wall, is Dad's office. While he is working from home, it allows for a separation of space while the children are upstairs playing, eating, napping etc. Minimizing distractions for both dad and the children. 

Some other adjustments to the basement, were; a gym space that has the opportunity to act as a guest bedroom as needed. One thing to note in this space would be the decorative ledge that runs under the window, the plumbing required a small step to run plumbing to the new sink in the office. Rather than just accepting this step, we decided to carry it up to a height that provided us the opportunity to add some design flare and ever-changing personal decorative touches for the client. 

The final space was the bathroom, it was an existing space that just needed a little bit of a facelift. reigniting the joy in the space.
